For the past 6 months, the Rochester Equine Clinic in Rochester, NH has been using the 3 meter video gastroscope manufactured by MDS, Inc.. The final version is an extremely affordable video endoscope with optics that challenge even the best in the industry. It is durable with an exceptional warranty (1 year against manufacturer's defects). The manufacturer's technical support has been impeccable, answering any and all questions. We also use a video printer (Sony) in conjunction with our Olympus Halogen light source and obtain outstanding images (especially when compared to our old fiberoptic endoscope) with ample documentation. Clients love the images, and we obtain documentation for the referring veterinarian.
We wholeheartedly support this product and have also purchased a shorter, smaller diameter video endoscope for easier upper airway use. We have used the gastroscope but its length and diameter make it less practical for strict upper airway use.
